On 30 May 2026, “Hello, Sichuan North Road” took place around Sanxinli at 1488 Sichuan North Road and the north gate of Chuanbei Park in Shanghai. I Got One brought character-based displays into a neighborhood gathering of university projects, heritage brands, independent makers, and local residents.
The street was not treated as a museum behind glass. People shared memories of cinemas and lane life, presented new designs, and paused before a character image to guess its meaning. One simple question connected old residents and new visitors: “What do you see in this character?”
The event brought university research, youth creativity, and neighborhood life into one public setting and received coverage from Jiefang Daily and Shanghai Observer. It also showed that character-based creativity can contribute to local cultural co-creation beyond classrooms and galleries.
