Pop-up Exhibition
The I Got One project came to life at the Dongming Community’s New Year Fair through a dynamic pop-up exhibition. What made this event truly special was its collaborative spirit: local community members who had participated in or were curious about the project stepped into the role of booth hosts, taking turns to support the full-day event with enthusiasm.
The youngest host was a bright-eyed first grader, while the eldest, a spirited woman in her fifties, brought wisdom and warmth to the team. Their presence was a powerful reminder that creativity and curiosity know no age. Each host proudly shared their self-designed Chinese characters, their exprience of engaging with NYU’s international students and embracing the series of rare opportunities for intercultural exchange.
Over 200 visitors stopped by the booth to take part in the interactive games and creative displays. The star attraction? The Book of Answers, a centerpiece which inspired guests to guess the fellowers’ designs of the characters and left handwritten wishes for the year ahead. It was a day full of laughter, learning, and heartfelt connections.
