My study method to remember this character is to imagine the inside of it as a tree, and the enclosure radical as the fence that would guard such tree or plant, hence completing the full picture of a yard or garden.

I remember this character because gardens or yards are usually rectangles with a fence around it which looks like the radical used. The inside of the character can be remembered because the strokes look like a playground. A playground inside of a fenced yard is typical of a park.

A strategy to remember this character is that because it is enclosed with a box, it can represent an enclosed space which is in this case a garden or a yard. The inside can look like a tree, which you would find in a garden or a yard.

Gardens and parks are often gated, which can be represented by the enclosure radical. Furthermore, people often go to parks to read or feed birds on a bench. 元 looks a lot like a bench.

Chinese gardens are enclosed spaces regarded as really valuable. In ancient China, they were built by rich and powerful families. Therefore, we have 元 (unit of currency) inside of 囗 giving us 园.
