This character means a flower with the grass radical. The version without the “grass” radical transforms the meaning, even though the pinying is almost the same.

This character has the bottom part of the character 花 (flower) and sounds similar to the pronunciation of the it. I remember the meaning, “TO TRANSFORM” because a flower transforms from a tiny bud to a beautiful bloomed flower.

This character includes the person radical which suggests a connection to people. It also has the dagger radical representing change and transformation. Together, I see this character as the symbol of the transformation of people and society, which is connected to culture. Culture itself is a process of transformation over time, shaped by people’s experiences, traditions, and growth. Another hint: it sounds the same as “flower,” and coincidentally, this character is also part of the character for flower

I remember this character as it’s the bottom portion of a character we have learned previously, 花 (meaning flower). This 化 is without the bamboo radical, to show that the meaning isn’t related to plants or flowers, but still keeps the transformative portions (flowers are transformed seeds, 化 is transformed without the seed)
